Tale of Two Sisters & A New Brother

Happy Birthday Grandpa! The day started out with Keira a little under the weather but we made it to the Brook Park Easter Egg hunt. Neither girl was thrilled with the Easter bunny but Keira loved picking up the eggs. She'd hoard them in her clutches and try to pick up as many as she could. Caileigh liked the fact that there was hard taffy in the eggs.

Then we had everyone over for Grandpa's birthday and it was nice to see Great Grandma again! Caileigh made sure everyone had a chance to find the Easter Eggs in the house. Caileigh would tell you how close you were getting by saying "burning on fire, burning on fire!"

A much anticipated end to the week. After work we went to the mall to get new shoes for the girls and Keira was very excited to walk around in some new tennies. Caileigh wore hers out of the store. Unfortunately, after some pizza that didn't agree with her Keira spent most of the night sick poor kid. We're lucky that her stomach is tiny so it didn't take long for her to get rid of everything in her stomach.

Another nice weekend! Caileigh & I saw Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on Friday - Sydney & Joey were in the kids chorus. It was great! Caileigh John & I have been listening to the cd all week so she knew all the songs. Then she liked it so much she convinced John to take her on Sunday while Keira and I spent some time outdoors in her new buggy! Enjoy the video!

Now that we've had a brief few days of nice weather the girls are itching to get outdoors. Caileigh was climbing on the monkey bars and swinging by herself on the swing after dinner. Keira loves the buggy rides at school and is amazed at the warm weather. I don't think she even remembers the sun!

Keira's other new love is her "10 Little Caterpillars" book. We actually bought it long ago for Caileigh but for some reason, Keira loves it. She'll go into her room, grab it and drag it all around the house. We read it about 3 times a night. Its fun to see her have an interest in books like her sister!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!! The luck of the Irish to all of you! Its been 10 years since John & I met, what a great day that was and what a great 10 years it has been! Let's hope the next 10 will be even better!

Caileigh was very upset that she couldn't go to the Harp this year but there was a very sneaky leprechaun that came to her school and messed up all the kids lockers and rooms! So they had a treasure hunt to find him and Mr. Jarvis even had a trap to catch him. But he was too quick and they never caught him. He did leave some gold chocolate coins though!

And Keira learned how to use a straw at dinner tonite! But once she got the hang of it, she just wanted to keep taking the straw out of the cup and eat the straw. Oh well, a big moment while it lasted!

YAY! I found our camera under the couch! I swear I looked there time and time again but not close enough! There's some pictures in February folder that are new. Back to better video and picture quality!!

Happy Parade Day!! Unfortunately Mommy & Keira stayed home since Keira was still under the weather but Caileigh & Daddy were out in full force with the Duffy clan! Even though it rained it was still lots of fun and Caileigh's favorite part was when she saw the dancers (and eating the hot dogs!). So glad they brought us home some of Aunt Darlene's irish soda bread!

Poor Keira has been battling fevers off an on since yesterday so she has been home getting lots of TLC! Caileigh has been enjoying her days with her grandparents and doesn't want to come home!

She said "MaMa". Finally so I could hear it and not in the middle of the night in a whiny sort of way! Sitting on my lap and just said it. I was surprised too!

Well today was the 4th show at the Byham with the Children's Theater - "Henry & Mudge" and it was really cute. Mudge is a 182 pound dog that becomes Henry's best friend. I asked Caileigh after if she wanted to get a dog and she said "NO" very emphatically. Apparently she wasn't as moved as I was!

Welcome baby Chloe Diane! Ms Heidi had her baby last Saturday and she is beautiful! The girls and I went over to see her today and they had a great time playing with Colin, Corinne & Carter. Unfortunately, Ms. Cranky Pants (aka Keira) was whiny and clingy so I didn't get to hold Miss Chloe that much but she is so sweet! All the kids had fun and even posed for a few minutes so we could get a group picture!

Our sweet little Keira is 14 months! I know, I can't believe it either! Let's catch up with our blonde cutey.
-- not sure how much she weighs but it has to be close to 20 lbs! Her belly alone weighs 5 pounds.
-- she's all on walking now and gets back up without a beat
-- she's taking after her sister dancing like crazy - see the videos for her style!
--she's sleeping pretty well (I shouldn't even type this) .. most night!
-- no more teeth yet but her upper two are making their way down lower so that's changing her look
-- still saying "da da" when I say "ma ma" and not much else. Oh yea "Woof" either when she sees a dog or if she just wants to get your attention
-- has learned not only to use the phone but the remote too!
-- and if she doesn't sleep on her back which gives her a rats nest in the back, her hair is getting curly like her sisters!

We love you sweet girl and can't wait to see what happens next month!

Both girls had follow up appointments for their ears tod ay and had hearing tests. Both passed with flying colors and Dr. Otteson said the tubes are clear! Yay! Hopefully that will take care of the ear infections for a long time!

What a weekend for the girls! I think both sets of grandparents had fun (as did the girls!) but I'm pretty sure they will enjoy getting their sleep back! We had a great time in NC when we got there which took longer than expected. It was nice to come home and be greeted by lots of love & hugs!
